Sewerage

The sewerage system in Mishima separates rain water and polluted water. Water used in homes, building and factories is treated at the sewage treatment works and discharged into the river after disinfecting. Also rain water is discharged into the river through gutters and waterways.

Anyone living in a home which has a sewerage connection has to pay a sewerage service fee.

You will be charged for sewerage service every two months in the following A or B methods.
A. Automatic bank transfer
Your service fee will automatically be deducted from your bank account. Please take a notice from the Sewerage Department or a notice of the charge and your seal (signature is also acceptable) to the banking institution where you have an account. Please fill out the "Application for transfer of account".
B. If your service fee is not deducted from a bank account, you will be sent a notice of the charge every two months. Please pay it at a banking institution near you by the designated date.

• If you use the city water supply, the Sewerage and Water Supply fee will be demanded at the same time.

Please do not let vegetable waste and dust, frying oil, soil and sand, gasoline etc flow into sewerage. This causes blocked drain pipes.

Please contact the following when you move to or from Mishima:
A. If you use the city water supply, contact the Business Division of the Water Supply Department.
B. If you don't use city water supply, contact the Sewerage Management Division
