Emergency Phone

　A fire engine will quickly arrive on the scene in response to a 119 call when there is a fire. If a fire starts in your house or if you see a fire somewhere, shout " Fire ("kaji-da")" loudly to notify other people. Then immediately call 119 to the Fire Department.

If you need emergency treatment because of sudden illness, traffic accident, gas poisoning, serious burn, etc, call 119 for an ambulance to take the patient to a hospital. If you can't speak Japanese, please have a Japanese speaker dial for you. Although dialing 119 will help in emergencies, it is also a good idea to have a family doctor who is familiar with your condition and health.

Please dial 110 to contact the police if you have or see a traffic accident or are a witness to, or the victim of a crime. There are police boxes located in several areas in Mishima. Policemen on duty patrol neighborhoods and handle many matters including reports of missing children, traffic accident, lost articles, etc.
